The Golden State Warriors are again the favorites to win the 2017-18 NBA title this season.

The defending champions are currently priced at 10/17 with bet365 to retain the Larry O'Brien Trophy. Superstars Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry signed fresh contracts in the offseason and will again team up with fellow All-Stars Draymond Green and Klay Thompson in the coming season. The Warriors won their second NBA title in three seasons after defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers four games to one in the last NBA Finals.

The Cavaliers, meanwhile, can be backed at 5/1 to regain the NBA title. LeBron James and Kevin Love return this season but Kyrie Irving has asked to be traded and will likely be dealt to any team soon. To prepare for his departure, the Cavaliers recently signed free agent Derrick Rose. The former league MVP saw action for the New York Knicks last season.

Oddsmakers also expect the Boston Celtics to do well this season after posting the best record in the Eastern Conference last season. Isaiah Thomas and Al Horford both return and they will team up with new recruits Gordon Hayward and Marcus Morris. They are priced at 8/1 in the outright odds market.

The Houston Rockets also made headlines in the offseason by acquiring Chris Paul in a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers to team up with James Harden in the backcourt. The odds for the Rockets of winning the NBA title is 17/2.

The San Antonio Spurs added another veteran in Rudy Gay to join forces with All-Stars LaMarcus Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard. They can be backed at 11/1 to win the NBA crown this season.

The Washington Wizards, Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves are also ranked high in the outright odds market.

The Wizards will again be led by the prolific backcourt duo of John Wall and Bradley Beal while reigning league MVP Russell Westbrook will team up with fellow All-Star Paul George at Oklahoma City. George was acquired in a trade with the Indiana Pacers where he spent the first seven seasons of his NBA career.

The Wolves, meanwhile, instantly became a contender with the addition of veterans Jimmy Butler, Jamal Crawford, Taj Gibson and Jeff Teague to join forces with young stars Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins.
