Euroleague Round  betting tips from's expert, including the best bets from Anadolu Efes Istanbul vs Real Madrid

Anadolu Efes Istanbul vs Real Madrid (17:30 GMT on Friday)

Expect an exciting duel at the Sinan Erden Dome when Anadolu Efes host defending champion Real Madrid. The two teams are tied in third spot with 8-2 records. Efes extended their winning run to five games by beating Baskonia 96-85 at home last week. Six Efes players scored in double figures with Brock Motum and Vasilje Micic leading the way with 16 points apiece. Micic, who was named MVP for November, will again spearhead the Istanbul side’s offence along with Rodrigue Beaubois and Adrien Moerman. Motum, Tibor Pleiss, Krunoslav Simon and Bryant Dunston are also key players for head coach Ergin Ataman. Real Madrid (8-2), meanwhile, are determined to get back on track after suffering losses against Olympiacos (88-83) and CSKA Moscow (93-88). Los Blancos have been without Sergio Llull in their last three Euroleague games and he remains questionable in their Istanbul trip. Anthony Randolph and Jaycee Carroll are expected to lead Real Madrid in this match-up. Also out to make their presence felt are Rudy Fernandez, Gustavo Ayon and Facundo Campazzo, who topscored with 23 points against CSKA. Real Madrid have won five in a row over Efes and have taken eight of nine in the series. That’s why we are backing Los Blancos to win this duel.

Panathinaikos vs Fenerbahce (19:30 GMT on Friday)

Fenerbahce are the hottest team in the Euroleague and they hope to stay that way after their duel against Panathinaikos in Athens. The Turkish giants made it six wins in a row in this competition after posting an 84-65 victory at Barcelona in the previous round. Ali Muhammed led five Fenerbahce players in double figures with 16 points. Jan Vesely and Luigi Datome are the top offensive options for head coach Zeljko Obradovic. The multi-titled mentor also expects quality minutes from Marko Guduric, Nikola Kalinic and Joffrey Lauvergne. Kostas Sloukas is uncertain after missing their last game due to an undisclosed injury. Panathinaikos (5-5), meanwhile, have dropped two in a row and three of their last four games. The Greek giants suffered a 68-76 loss at Khimki last week. Keith Langford is expected to lead the Greens their quest to get back on track. Backing up the two-time Euroleague scoring champion in this duel are Nick Calathes, Matt Lojeski, James Gist and Deshaun Thomas. Ioannis Papapetrou is questionable after missing their last game with a wrist injury. Fenerbahce traded home wins last season but the Turkish giants have taken five of six in the series. We expect Fenerbahce to extend their winning streak.
