Fenerbahce Beko vs Anadolu Efes (17:00 BST on Friday)

The first semi-final game at the Fernando Buesa Arena will pit Fenerbahce against Anadolu Efes in an all-Turkish clash. This is the first time in Euroleague history that two Turkish clubs reached the Final Four. Fenerbahce and Efes split their two meetings in the regular season. Efes posted an 89-83 win in their first duel before Fenerbahce bounced back with an 84-66 triumph in their rematch. The two teams also split their two encounters in the Turkish League this season while Fenerbahce beat Efes 80-70 in the Turkish Cup final in Ankara with Luigi Datome earning MVP honours. Fenerbahce topped the regular season with a 25-5 record and disposed of Zalgiris in four games in the play-offs to reach the Final Four for the fifth consecutive season. Zeljko Obradovic’s boys are determined to bring home the title this season after losing to Real Madrid in last year’s final in Belgrade. The bad news for Fenerbahce fans is Datome and Joffrey Lauvergne have both been ruled out of this contest. Datome suffered a calf injury in a domestic league game against Darussafaka Tekfen last April 28 while Lauvergne hasn’t played since suffering an ankle injury in the Turkish Cup semi-finals last February. Nikola Kalinic and Jan Vesely are also nursing injuries and both are uncertain in this game. Kostas Sloukas is expected to lead Fenerbahce in their bid to return to the final and he is expected to get support from Marko Guduric and Ali Muhammed. Efes are also determined to do well in their first Final Four appearance in this competition since 2001. The Istanbul side placed fourth in the regular season with a 20-10 record and needed five games to eliminate Barcelona in the play-offs. Head coach Ergin Ataman will rely on Adrien Moerman, Vasilje Micic and Shane Larkin to lead Efes in their quest to reach the Euroleague final for the first time. We are backing Fenerbahce to win this all-Turkish duel.

CSKA Moscow vs Real Madrid (20:00 BST on Friday)

CSKA Moscow and Real Madrid meet in the Euroleague Final Four for the second consecutive season. Led by Luka Doncic and Sergio Llull, Real Madrid beat CSKA 92-83 in Belgrade last year and went on to win the title at the expense of Fenerbahce. CSKA won both meetings against Real Madrid in the regular season. They posted a 93-88 win in the Spanish capital in Round 10 and won their rematch 82-78 in Moscow. CSKA finished second to Fenerbahce in the regular season and ousted Baskonia in four games in the best-of-five play-offs. They are making their 16th Final Four appearance in 17 seasons. Nando De Colo, Cory Higgins and Will Clyburn are CSKA’s top guns but Sergio Rodriguez is uncertain after twisting his ankle in their VTB United League quarterfinal win over Nizhny Novgorod last May 9. Head coach Dimitris Itoudis, who steered the Russian giants to their last Euroleague crown in 2016, will also rely on Othello Hunter and Kyle Hines. Real Madrid finished third in the regular season with a 22-8 record and swept Panathinaikos in the play-offs. Llull and Anthony Randolph will lead Los Blancos in their bid to become the first club to win back-to-back Euroleague crowns since Olympiacos achieved the feat in 2012 and 2013. Llull missed the play-offs with a leg injury but has returned to action in domestic play. Other key players for head coach Pablo Laso are Facundo Campazzo, Jaycee Carroll, Rudy Fernandez and big men Walter Tavares, Trey Thompkins and Gustavo Ayon. We are backing Real Madrid to pull off a close win.
