Euroleague playoffs betting tips from Bettingpro.com's expert, including the best bets from CSKA Moscow vs Khimki and Panathinaikos vs Real Madrid.

CSKA Moscow vs Khimki (18:00 BST)

The 2018 Euroleague playoffs officially gets underway in the Russian capital featuring domestic rivals CSKA Moscow and Khimki. CSKA topped the regular season with a 24-6 record. The powerhouse club boasts of former MVPs Nando De Colo and Sergio Rodriguez plus Will Clyburn and Cory Higgins. Kyle Hines is uncertain after suffering a calf injury in their last game but CSKA remains formidable up front with Clyburn teaming up with Othello Hunter and Nikita Kurbanov. Khimki (16-14), meanwhile, claimed the final playoff spot. The Moscow club has its own scoring machine in Alexey Shved, the Euroleague's top scorer this season. He will get support from frontliners Anthony Gill, Malcolm Thomas and Thomas Robinson. CSKA swept its two meetings against Khimki in the regular season. CSKA also won their two duels in the VTB League. CSKA is heavily favored to win this all-Russian duel and we expect them to cover the spread.

Panathinaikos vs Real Madrid (19:15 BST)

This is the first meeting between Panathinaikos and Real Madrid in the playoffs since the format was introduced in 2005. Both teams actually finished the regular season in a triple tie with Olympiacos with 19-11 records. The two clubs split their two meetings in the regular season with each team winning at home. Panathinaikos has a talented backcourt featuring Mike James, Nick Calathes and KC Rivers. The Greens are as formidable up front with Chris Singleton and James Gist manning the shaded lane. Nikos Pappas, Marcus Denmon and Matt Lojeski are additional weapons for head coach Xavi Pascual. Teenage superstar Luka Doncic, meanwhile, is the focal point of Real Madrid's offense. Head coach Pablo Laso will also count Jaycee Carroll, Rudy Fernandez and Facundo Campazzo. Real Madrid has a solid frontline featuring Gustavo Ayon, Anthony Randolph and Walter Tavares. We expect Panathinaikos to draw first blood in the best-of-five series.
