The 2017-18 EuroCup season gets underway on October 11 and will run until April and all games will be shown at bet365's live streaming service.

Why watch EuroCup Live Streaming?

The EuroCup is considered the second-tier professional basketball league in Europe next to the Euroleague but that doesn't mean that it's inferior in terms of talent. In fact, most clubs in this league have played in the Euroleague before.

The EuroCup champions also get to participate in the following season's Euroleague and players who excel in this competition are regularly recruited by Euroleague participants during the season or the following year.

Among the EuroCup MVPs who went on to sign with Euroleague clubs are Robertas Javtokas, Justin Doellman and Rudy Fernandez. Tyrese Rice, meanwhile, led Maccabi Tel Aviv to the Euroleague title in 2014 and steered Khimki to the EuroCup crown the following season where he also earned regular-season and finals MVP honors.

Current Teams and Format

The 16th edition of the EuroCup will feature a total of 24 teams from 12 countries. The participants were divided into four groups with six teams each.

Group A is made up of UNICS Kazan, Darussafaka Istanbul, Cedevita, FIAT Torino, MoraBanc Andorra and Levallois Metropolitans while Group B will feature Galatasaray Odeabank, Bayern Munich, Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem, Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia, Lietkabelis and Budućnost VOLI.

Taking part in Group C are Lokomotiv Kuban, ALBA Berlin, Lietuvos Rytas, Bilbao Basket, Limoges and Partizan NIS while featuring in Group D are Herbalife Gran Canaria, Zenit Saint Petersburg, Tofas, Dolomiti Energia Trento, Ratiopharm Ulm and ASVEL.

Regular Season
The teams will play their groupmates twice during the regular season using a home-and-away format. The top four teams in each group after 10 games will proceed to the Top 16.

Top 16
The 16 qualifiers will again be divided into four groups and will play a double-round robin using a home-and-away format. The top two teams in each group after six games will advance to the quarterfinals

Quarterfinals
The eight remaining teams will face off in a best-of-three series with the winners advancing to the semifinals

Semifinals
The four remaining teams will play another best-of-three series with the winners advance to the finals

Finals
The semifinal winners will face off in another best-of-three affair with the winner taking home the prestigious trophy.

EuroCup History

The EuroCup was first played in 2002 when it was called the ULEB Cup. The second-tier competition used the name until 2008 when it changed its brand to the EuroCup. The competition has been called the 7DAYS EuroCup starting in the 2016-17 season after the league signed a sponsorship deal with Greek food company Chipita.

Aside from bringing home a prestigious trophy, the EuroCup winners will also earn a ticket to the following season's Euroleague where they will get to play the best teams in the continent.

Spanish club Valencia is the most successful team in this competition with three titles followed by Lietuvos Rytas and Khimki with two apiece.
