Eurocup 2017-18 Outright Odds

Bookmakers expect a fiercely-contested Eurocup 2017-18 season with Lokomotiv Kuban emerging as the slight favorite over Unics Kazan and Galatasaray to win Europe's second-tier basketball competition.

Lokomotiv Kuban reached the semifinal of this competition last season. Matt Janning, Taylor Rochestie and Ian Vougioukas have left but Mardy Collins, Kevin Jones and Ryan Broekhoff return this season. Among the Russian club's new recruits Chris Babb, Joe Ragland, Brian Qvale and Trevor Lacey.

Unics returns to the Eurocup after competing in the Euroleague last season. The Russian club underwent major changes in the offseason with Anton Ponkrashov, Quino Colom, Kostas Kaimakoglou and Danilo Andusic among the notable holdovers. They beefed up by signing Jamar Smith, Stephane Lasme and Melvin Ejim among others. Unics also has a new head coach in Dimitris Priftis.

Galatasaray also took part in the Euroleague last season after winning the 2016 Eurocup title. The Turkish club also had an overhaul in the offseason with several new acquisitions including Rakeem Christmas, TJ Cline, DaJuan Summers, Alex Renfroe, Scotty Hopson, Mehmet Yagmur and Richard Hendrix. Another new face is head coach Erman Kunter.

Bookmakers also expect Darussafaka Istanbul to contend for the Eurocup crown this season after the Turkish club reached the Euroleague playoffs last season. Top guns Scottie Wilbekin and Brad Wanamaker both return along with head coach David Blatt. They lost Will Clyburn, James Anderson and Adrien Moerman but signed JaJuan Johnson, James Bell, Will Cummings, Micheal Eric, Howard Sant-Roos and Stanton Kidd.
