Atlanta Braves at Washington Nationals (00:05 BST on Saturday)

The Atlanta Braves kick off their 10-game trip at the Nationals Park for their three-game duel against the Washington Nationals. The National League East-best Braves (44-31) are coming off a 7-2 win over the New York Mets on Wednesday to claim their 11th win in 13 games. Freddie Freeman will lead Atlanta in this match-up along with Ronald Acuna Jr, Ozzie Albies and Dansby Swanson. Freeman leads the team in home runs (21), runs batted in (55) and batting average (.315). Dallas Keuchel is expected to make his Braves debut in this game. The 2015 Cy Young Award winner became a free agent last season following a seven-year stint with the Houston Astros but did not find a new team until earlier this month. The 31-year-old played two games in the minors to prepare for his season debut. Keuchel posted a 12-11 record in 34 appearances last season. The Nationals (36-38) are also out to impress anew after sweeping their three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday. They have won four in a row and five of their last six games. Expected to lead Washington in this duel of NL East sides are Anthony Rendon, Adam Eaton, Juan Soto and Brian Dozier. Anibal Sanchez (3-6) will try to extend his winning streak when he takes the ball for the Nationals. The Venezuelan right-hander is coming off back-to-back wins and is 3-0 in his last five starts after losing his first six decisions. Sanchez last pitched in their 15-5 rout of Arizona on Sunday where he gave up six hits and two runs and struck out three in six innings. The Nationals swept their two-game series against the Braves late last month. We expect them to pick up another win in the series.

Houston Astros at New York Yankees (00:05 BST on Saturday)

The New York Yankees are targeting another win over the Houston Astros in their four-game series in the Bronx. The American League East-best Yankees (47-27) beat the Astros 10-6 in Thursday’s opener to extend their winning run to six games. Gary Sanchez, Gleyber Torres and DJ LeMahieu each homered in the fourth inning where New York scored six runs. Newly-acquired Edwin Encarnacion also hit a homer as the Yankees handed the Astros a season-worst fifth consecutive loss. It was New York’s first win in the series after losing all three meetings at Houston last April. Jake Marisnick had two homers to pace the AL West-leading Astros, who dropped to 48-28. Alex Bregman and rookie Yordan Alvarez also homered for the visitors. James Paxton (4-3) will try to make it two wins in as many starts when he takes the mound for the Yankees in Game 2. The 30-year-old southpaw struck out seven and yielded eight hits and two runs in six innings in their 10-3 road win over the Chicago White Sox on Sunday. Astros starter Brad Peacock (6-4) is out to bounce back after being credited with their 12-0 home loss to Toronto last Sunday where he surrendered five hits and four runs in five innings. We expect the Yankees to extend their winning run.
