Terri Harper v Cecilia Braekhus Female Boxing Tips & Predictions
Terri Harper is the current WBA super welterweight champion and she will be looking to claim the vacant WBO strap.
Harper has not lost a fight since she suffered her first ever loss in 2021. Her only loss as a professional came when she was stopped by Alycia Baumgardner in the fourth round as she lost her WBC and IBO super featherweight titles.
In her first fight after that loss, she won the WBA intercontinental lightweight title thanks to a points win over Yamila Belen Abellaneda.
She then put in a super showing to beat Hannah Rankin for the WBA and IBO super welterweight titles before getting past Ivana Habazin in May this year.
Harper has a professional record of 16 fights, 14 wins, one loss and one draw and she continues to improve under the guidance of Stefy Bull her trainer.
She takes on Cecilia Braekhus, who is a quality fighter in her own right.
The Norwegian has won 37 of her 39 professional fights with just two defeats. Those two defeats came in successive fights against Jessica McCaskill.
Braekhus is a dangerous fighter and has the stamina to go the distance quite comfortably. From her 37 wins, 28 of them have gone the distance.
This will be a cagey affair, I do not expect it to be an all-out classic, but it will have its moments. I am backing Harper to show how much she has matured by taking Barekhus the distance and getting her hand raised at the end.
