Lawrence Okolie v Krzysztof Glowacki Betting Tips & Predictions

Lawrence Okolie finally gets his opportunity to become a world champion when he looks to walk through Poland’s Krzysztof Glowacki to pick up the vacant WBO cruiserweight belt.

Okolie is unbeaten after 15 professional fights and he will be hoping this fight actually goes ahead. This fight was originally scheduled for December 12 on the undercard of the Anthony Joshua v Kubrat Pulev bout – but it was postponed after Glowacki was forced to withdraw through injury.

‘The Sauce’ still fought that night and took less than five minutes to blast his way through Nikodem Jezewski – but this fight will be a lot more difficult than that one.

Out of his 15 bouts, Okolie has won 12 of them by knockout with the other three going to the judges. The Brit has not been taken the full distance since he went 12 rounds with Matty Askin to win the British cruiserweight title.

I honestly cannot see this one going the distance, but I also feel that this will be Okolie’s toughest assignment to date. We all know the punching power that Okolie possesses and after a cagey first three rounds, Okolie will start to relax and let his hands go and will get the Pole out of there by the end of the sixth round.

Road to Lawrence Okolie v Krzysztof Glowacki

Okolie has always been confident that he will eventually be a world champion, and I have to agree with him that it will happen on March 20.

This fight should have already taken place back at the end of 2020, but Glowacki had to pull out due to health concerns. Now we get to see if the former champion has fully recovered.

Glowacki will be no push over, he is an experienced fighter with 31 wins under his belt – 19 of them coming by way of knockout.

The 34-year-old is a two-time former WBO cruiserweight champion. He won his first title in 2015 when he knocked out Marco Huck in the 11th, before dropping the belt at the second attempt against Oleksandr Usyk. His second reign started out as interim champion after he beat Maxim Vlason, he was then elevated to full champion before losing it to Mairis Briedis in June 2019.

As I have already mentioned, Glowacki is a decent fighter, but Okolie is special and I just think he will have too much for the Pole and he will not be able to defend himself from a barrage of punches.
