Joshua Buatsi v Daniel Blenda Dos Santos Predictions & Tips

British fighter Joshua Buatsi will make the sixth defence of his WBA International light heavyweight title against unbeaten Frenchman Daniel Blenda Dos Santos.

Buatsi has a promising future ahead of him, and he is well aware that a convincing knockout win over Dos Santos will see him land the bigger fights. His decision to team up with new trainer Virgil Hunter proves how serious he is about cementing his legacy.

‘Just Business’ has knocked out 11 of his 13 opponents, with his last fight seeing him stop Marko Calic in the seventh round last October.

His opponent on May 15 is also unbeaten and has won eight of his 15 victories by knockout. His last fight saw him knockout Ivan Nikolov inside three minutes.

On paper, Dos Santos offers a threat to Buatsi’s unbeaten record, but in reality, this will be over before the judges are called upon. Buatsi’s power punching will be key in this one, and I am backing him to knock the Frenchman out in the fifth round.

Joshua Buatsi v Daniel Blenda Dos Santos: Fighter Predictions

Joshua Buatsi: “I’ve got an unbeaten opponent, that makes him ambitious. Obviously, it’s the first fight under Virgil, so it’s should be interesting. I’m looking forward to showing what I’ve been working on with Virgil. He’s going to want to hold onto his undefeated record, as I am. When that’s at stake you really dig deep. It’s mainly the style that I like. Each of his fighters translate it differently. The public haven’t seen how good I can be, or I will be. I want to unlock the potential that I have got. This addition to the team will 100 per cent bring the best out of me.”
