Jazza Dickens v Hector Andres Sosa Boxing Betting Tips & Predictions
Jazza Dickens will be looking to record his 33rd professional victory when he heads to Dubai to take on Hector Andres Sosa.
The 32-year-old Liverpool-born fighter won the vacant IBO strap in his last bout when he claimed a unanimous points victory over Lerato Dlamini at the Olympia in his home city.
That was his first world title success. He first fought for a world title in 2016 when he lost to Guillermo Rigondeaux with the WBA (Super) super bantamweight belt on the line.
He then challenged Kid Galahad for the IBO featherweight title in 2021 and he fell short as he had to retire hurt in the 11th round.
Dickens got the chance to fight for another world title against Dlamini in the shape of the IBO belt and he finally got his hands on a world title – he will be eager not to let it slip from his grasp at the first attempt.
He takes on Sosa from Argentina. He has a professional record of 17 fights with 15 wins and two defeats. Eight of his wins have come by way of knockout.
Sosa has not been in with anyone as dangerous as Dickens, and it will be the first time he has ever fought a British boxer.
Despite not fighting in the UK, I am backing Dickens to get his arm raised after 12 rounds and bring his title back home. I cannot see either fighter being strong enough to knock the other one out. It will be a cagey affair that will go the distance.
