Olympic champion Galal Yafai will headline the NXTGEN card in his home city of Birmingham on Saturday, August 19 against Tommy Frank.

Galal Yafai will fight in front of his supporters in Birmingham for the first time as a professional as he looks to extend his unbeaten record to five fights.

Yafai – who won Gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games – has won three of his four pro bouts by stoppage with just one going the full distance of 10 rounds.

His first fight as a professional saw him win the vacant WBC International flyweight belt with a fifth-round TKO win over Carlos Vado Bautista.

He has since defended that belt twice against Miguel Cartagena and Gohan Rodriguez Garcia.

He takes on 30-year-old Tommy Frank from Sheffield, who will be determined to get back to winning ways.

He suffered his third loss as a professional in his last fight as he lost the British flyweight title when he was stopped in the 10^th round against Jay Harris.

Frank has a professional record of 19 fights, 15 wins, three losses and one no-contest. Three of his wins have come by way of knockout.

I cannot see Frank causing Yafai any real problems. I think the Birmingham fighter will be too quick for the Yorkshireman. Back Yafai to win by knockout in the third round.
