Errol Spence Jr v Terence Crawford Boxing Betting Tips & Predictions
All the belts will be on the line, along with The Ring belt as well.
As they say in the boxing world “Somebody’s 0 has got to go”. Spence Jr and Crawford put their unbeaten professional records on the line in Las Vegas.
Spence Jr is the WBC, IBF & WBA champion. His last fight saw him beat Yordenis Ugas for the WBA (Super) strap to add to his other two belts.
The 33-year-old American has been a world champion since he won the IBF belt in 2017 when he knocked out Kell Brook at Bramall Lane in Sheffield. He made three defences if that title before he added the WBC version with a points win over Shawn Porter.
Spence Jr has a professional record of 28 wins from 28 fights with 22 coming by way of knockout.
Crawford has won all of his 39 fights since he turned professional in 2008. Out of those 39 wins, he has won 30 by knockout or stoppage.
This should be a thrilling fight, it has the potential to be the fight of the year.
Crawford is the current WBO welterweight champion. He started off in the light welterweight division and became WBO, WBC, WBA (Super), IBF and The Ring champion.
He ruled the light welterweight division. He moved to welterweight to take on Jeff Horn for the WBO welterweight title.
He got that title with a TKO stoppage in the ninth round. He has since had six successful defences against Jose Benavidez Jr, Amir Khan, Egidijus Kavaliauskas, Brook, Shawn Porter and David Avensyan.
This is a hard fight to call. Both men are excellent fighters, but they are in their thirties. Will we get to see the best versions of Spence Jr and Crawford? I am not sure, but it will be exciting to watch.
I am going with experience in this one. I am backing Crawford to retain his WBO belt and take the IBF, WBC, WBA (Super) & The Ring title home with him.
Both men are knockout merchants, I do feel both fighters will touch the canvas. I also think they will cancel each other out and go the full distance. I am then backing Crawford to get his arm raised after 12 rounds.
