Anthony Yarde v Ricky Summers Boxing Betting Tips & Predictions
I have to admit I was very surprised with Anthony Yarde in his last fight.
I have never been his biggest fan, I thought he got a big push when he didn’t necessarily deserve it.
He got a title shot at Artur Beterbiev and I really didn’t think his form warranted a shot.
He lost to Lyndon Arthur before winning a rematch, then he got the Beterbiev fight on the back of beating Stefani Koykov.
Surely it made sense for him to fight Arthur for a third time. I thought he would get battered by Beterbiev.
Part of me wanted him to lose heavily (not hurt) to show he was out of his depth. I couldn’t have been more wrong. He took the fight to the champion until he was stopped in the eighth.
Yarde can take a lot of confidence from that fight, plus he has proved a lot of his doubters, myself included, that he has the quality to become world champion.
I cannot see Ricky Summers testing him that much.
He has a record of 19 wins, three defeats and one draw with six of his wins coming by way of knockout.
There is no way he is getting a seventh knockout. I expect Yarde to go through the motions and show the traits that made people doubt him.
He will do enough and claim a sixth-round knockout to move closer to another title shot – although it won’t be an impressive display.
