- Superb range of competitive football odds
- Immersive and interactive page features
- Slick site design
- Not the best range of sports
Smarkets’ site design is one we are exceptionally impressed with upon first use of it. The classic blacked out colour-way is a sleek one that means everything else on the page from sports and markets to different graphics really pop and come at you as the bookie showcases just how much they have on offer. Hitting the homepage of the site brings up a scrolling tab that showcases what is currently happening in the world of betting. Whether this is prices of the general election or the cricket, there is usually something for everyone there as Smarkets look to utilise their impressive range of betting options.
Below this, Smarkets have incorporated some fantastic features that give customers a far more immersive and interactive experience than they might get on other sites. At the time of writing, Smarkets are running a graph on the site for the Democratic Nominee for President. This graphic allows the user to hover over a certain date in the campaign to see where the runners have risen and fallen so the bettor can view in which direction the runner is going in the betting, while this is also true of horse racing as well, which allows the bettor even more information on what they are backing, allowing them to make a very informed choice. Smarkets’ sportsbook is one that we are thoroughly impressed with as it features fantastic odds and markets whilst also boasting some superb features that take it above and beyond many other bookies.
The main promotion on the site at the time of writing is the up to £100 risk free. This promotion allows new and existing customers the chance to earn a £10 risk free bonus each week from December 3rd 2019 to February 10th 2020. Simply place 5 bets of £10 or more on Premier League matches (outright markets excluded) to receive £10 risk free the following week. Full T&C’s apply.
However, the promotions area is one of the few problems we have on the site. Whereas many bookmakers will have their promotions tab clearly visible at the top of the page or in the left-hand menu, Smarkets was far more difficult to track down. In the end, we had to exit the site and search for Smarkets promotions outside of the actual website.
In keeping with this up-to-date and impressive site, Smarkets also offers an extensive list of ways to deposit into an account. Visa Debit, Credit Card and Solo/Maestro card are all accepted meaning most people will have a way of depositing into an account easily. Neteller and Skrill are also available, while bank transfer, Trustly and PayPal are also viable options for depositing into an account too. For all of these methods the processing time of depositing is instant with the exception of bank transfer, which takes 3-5 business days.
In conclusion, we are exceptionally impressed with Smarkets’ sportsbook. The bookie offers a clean and crisp design along with some truly superb graphics that are immersive and informative. The available sports to bet on may not be as extensive as some of bookmakers, but Smarkets make up for it with extensive and competitive football odds, while the sportsbook itself is fantastic. Our problem with finding their available promotions was a slight blot on their copybook, but overall we are very impressed with Smarkets, and we feel they are a bookie that are well worth the time.
