The NFL was set to raise the bar with how the draft is presented this year, with Las Vegas set to provide the backdrop for a spectacular event that would have seen the stage be placed at the famous Bellagio fountains and players arrive via boat.

Now due to current events it will be much less grandeur, but there may have never been a more intriguing draft. GMs and their teams will be making their selections from the comfort of their own homes via virtual ‘war rooms’, and depending on which reports you believe this will either go very smoothly or could descend into a farce as tech gremlins do their best to derail a draft plans.

Answers will be provided on opening night, but away from the who setup of the draft, what are the biggest stories as the elite in College Football get set to learn their fate? We take a look at the big stories ahead of the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft…

2020 NFL Draft Odds: Who Will Be The First Overall Pick?

LSU quarterback Joe Burrow enters the 2020 NFL Draft on the back on an outstanding season for the Tigers in College Football, and the bookmakers believe he is a sure-fire pick to go with the very first pick. They are right. The Cincinnati Bengals are in rebuild mode and unless Burrow simply refuses to make the move to Ohio, there is no way that he will not be the first man off the virtual board.

Who Will Be The First Overall Pick?

1/50 Joe Burrow
16/1 Chase Young
18/1 Tua Tagovailoa
33/1 Justin Herbert
33/1 Any Other Player

2020 NFL Draft Odds: Who Will Be The Second Overall Pick?

The Washington Redskins will have their pick of the bunch once the Bengals take Burrow off the board, but they do not need to address the quarterback position with last year’s pick, Dwayne Haskins expected to start and receive backup from recent pick-up Kyle Allen. So where will they look? No further than Chase Young. New Redskins coach Ron Riviera is a man who knows the value of great defense (he was part of the ’85 Chicago Bears) and in Chase Young they can pick up and NFL-ready edge rusher who would probably go number one overall if Burrow did not declare for the 2020 NFL Draft.

Who Will Be The Second Overall Pick?

1/14 Chase Young
12/1 Tua Tagovailoa
12/1 Justin Herbert
25/1 Joe Burrow
33/1 Isaiah Simmons
50/1 Jeff Okudah
50/1 Andrew Thomas
66/1 Any Other Player

Tua Tagovailoa v Justin Herbert: Who Will Go First?

Behind Joe Burrow there are some major question marks over who will be the second quarterback to be selected. Tua Tagovailoa has been the bookmakers’ pick for some time, but could his inability to work out and show teams that he has fully overcome the horrible hip injury he suffered last season hurt his draft stock? There have been suggestions that the former Alabama QB could slide down the draft in round one, and if any QB is set to go before Tagovailoa it is Oregon signal-caller Justin Herbert. There are a few teams out there desperately looking for their quarterback of the future and they may feel like Herbert could be a ‘safer’ option than Tagovailoa. That is reflected in the ever shortening odds when it comes to who goes first out of these young QBs.

Tua Tagovailoa v Justin Herbert: Who Will Go First?

4/6 Tua Tagovailoa
10/11 Justin Herbert

2020 NFL Draft Odds: How Many Quarterbacks Will Go In Round One?

The quarterback position will always be one of the biggest talking points heading into an NFL Draft and over the past few months the destination of a host of college QBs has been the subject of a lot of debate. Burrow, Tagovailoa and Herbert have obviously been the big names, but behind them there are several other quarterbacks that should have no issues landing a spot in the NFL – Jordan Love, Jalen Hurts, Jake Fromm and Jacob Eason are all expected to go in the first half of the draft, but how many will be picked up in the first round? Burrow, Tagovailoa and Herbert are definites, but out of the rest only Love serves as a dark horse so the Over/Under is set quite low.

How Many Quarterbacks Will Go In Round One?

1/6 Under 4.5
4/1 Over 4.5

2020 NFL Draft Odds: Who Will Be The First Wide Receiver To Go?

This is one of the most interesting storylines/markets heading into the 2020 NFL Draft and we have broken it down to offer our predictions on where the best wide receivers in this draft class will be playing next season. Oklahoma stand-out CeeDee Lamb is the odds-on favourite to be the first receiver taken this year, but it is far from being a forgone conclusion with Alabama ace Jerry Jeudy hot on his heels as reports claim NFL teams are not concerned about his knee problem. Jeudy’s Alabama team-mate Henry Ruggs III is a dark horse too, so it will not be too long before this trio knows where they are heading. The question is, in which order will they be drafted?

Who Will Be The First Wide Receiver To Go?

10/11 CeeDee Lamb
5/4 Jerry Jeudy
4/1 Henry Ruggs III
66/1 Justin Jefferson
66/1 Any Other Player
