2020 NFL Draft Predictions & Tips: CeeDee Lamb

The general feeling is that the Las Vegas Raiders will be looking to land a wide receiver in the first round and they will be spoiled for choice if they go down that route, even if the New York Jets make their first pick a pass-catcher as some mock drafts are prediction. But who will the Raiders swoop for if they do decide to strengthen their receiving corps? The answer to that question could well be CeeDee Lamb. Reports claim Las Vegas general manager Mike Mayock is a massive fan of the former Oklahoma Sooner and believes that he is the most NFL-ready of all of the receivers in this season’s draft. If the Raiders do decide to surround Derek Carr or newcomer Marcus Mariota with more weapons, then a receiver is the most logical choice and that could result in Lamb heading to ‘Sin City’ and kicking off his professional football career as a Las Vegas Raider.

2020 NFL Draft Predictions & Tips: Jerry Jeudy

Jerry Jeudy is the bookmakers’ favourite to be the first wide receiver off the board and there are several teams that would love to have the Alabama man on their roster next season, none more so than the Denver Broncos. The Broncos are going all in on quarterback Drew Lock this season and they need to surround him with more weapons to go alongside Phillip Lindsay and Courtland Sutton. Throw Jeudy into the mix and, offensive line permitting, you have an exciting looking offense in Denver that could be together for a good few years. Therefore it is no shock to see reports suggesting that Denver general manager John Elway is considering trying to move up the draft in order to land Jeudy before one of their rivals do. That will, of course, mean Elway has to do some wheeling and dealing in order to get his man, but reports suggest there are a few teams that could be open to trading down for their current position and if the Broncos get it right they could strike a deal and lure Jeudy to Mile High.

2020 NFL Draft Predictions & Tips: Henry Ruggs

The last or my wide receiver picks is Henry Ruggs and he makes for an interesting proposition. There has been talk that San Francisco could look to bring in a receiver following the offseason departure of Emmanuel Sanders, but the 49ers are blessed with a couple of first-round picks and there has been plenty of chatter that they could trade down in order to increase the number of picks that they will have in the 2020 NFL Draft. That opens up the possibility of drafting Ruggs to a bunch of other wide receiver-needy teams, and one of them could be Philadelphia, who are desperately trying to offload Alshon Jeffery and will almost certainly look to land a receiver at some point in the draft. Ruggs has reportedly caught their eye, so if he is still on the board when Eagles make their selection he could get the call to head to Philly.
