La Liga’s top 2 have been in great shape lately and we’ll back them to keep it up, as we go for Atletico Madrid to snatch all three points and Mestalla Stadium and Real Sociedad to beat Villarreal at home ground. Both come into Matchday 11 with lengthy winning streaks and we do see them building on them.
On the other hand, we’ll back both Real Madrid and Barcelona to keep up while Cadiz and Granada could have trouble keeping hold of their top 6 spots against Elche and Celta Vigo, respectively. Sevilla will be waiting to pounce as we back them to points in Huesca too.
Lastly, we’re going for Getafe to earn at least a point against Athletic Bilbao, who have struggled to impress on the road, and hoping for a real thriller as Real Betis host Eibar to close it off on Monday evening.
Valladolid to beat Levante

After seeing goals on both ends in eight of last week’s nine Bundesliga games, we’re hoping for another thrilling weekend in Germany. It kicks off with Wolfsburg hosting Werder Bremen on Friday and we’re backing Wolves to bag all three points!
Wolfsburg will thus challenge the top 4 but we’re sticking with RB Leipzig and Leverkusen to build on it against Arminia Bielefeld and Hertha Berlin respectively. We’re also going for Borussia Dortmund to keep up their red-hot goalscoring form while Bayern Munich could need the same as they outgun Stuttgart on Saturday afternoon.
Union Berlin have been in great form lately and we’re backing them to keep up as well, despite a tough challenge Eintracht Frankfurt are bound to set up at Alte Forsterei Stadium. Ultimately, Hoffenheim will try to catch up on Monday evening but we expect a great contest with goals on both ends in Mainz.

Serie A Matchday 9 kicks off with a great derby as Sassuolo host Inter Milan on Saturday afternoon, as we back the Black and Greens to hold off the tough rivals and prove their worth once again early in the new campaign.
We’ll back Juventus to capitalize and build on their top 4 spot too, while we expect a thrilling occasion as Atalanta try to end their winless streak hosting Verona on the day too. Lazio could take a leap up the table as they beat Udinese on Sunday, while we go for AC Milan to keep hold of the top spot with points against Fiorentina also making it a series of home wins on Sunday.
Napoli host Roma for an evening delight and we’ll back them to secure the all-important points in an exciting occasion in the making. On the other end, we’re backing Bologna to escape the danger zone while hoping for thrillers with goals as Torino and Genoa try to do the same against Sampdoria and Parma, respectively.

PSG saw the gap behind them shortening as they suffered a 3-2 loss at Monaco last week, but we’ve seen them bounce already and we hope to see a more confident display as they host Bordeaux. We will back Marseille to keep up with a win over Nantes but also Lyon, Montpellier, Monaco, and Lille all to secure the important points on Sunday.
Aside from sticking with the favourites to build on the last week’s success, we hope to see exciting games in Strasbourg – where the home side hosts struggling Rennes – and Metz – where in-form Brest looks to cause an upset. We don’t see major changes to the Ligue 1 table after the weekend, though, only sticking with Lens to jump a spot or two with a home win over Angers despite a tough challenge expected from visitors who have been rather unpredictable.

Anthony Smith v Devin Clark
At this point it is fair to say that Anthony Smith’s best days are behind him and it is unlikely that he will get back into the light-heavyweight title picture. ‘Lionheart’ was able to rebound from his title fight defeat to Jon Jones by submitting Alexander Gustafsson, but things have gone downhill since that night and he has now dropped back-to-back fights. He took a beating at the hands of Glover Teixeira and it appears as though there is just too much mileage on his clock nowadays. His slide could continue against Devin Clark, who has gone 5-3 in the UFC with each win coming via decision.
Prediction: Clark to win by points
Josh Parisian v Parker Porter
Josh Parisian makes his UFC debut on a six-fight win streak and during this time he has showcased impressive stopping power, finishing five of his last six opponents in the first round while taking out his other foe in the second. This is a perfect fight for him to make an early impression on the UFC audience – Parker Porter was knocked out in the first round of his UFC debut in August and has now been stopped with strikes on three occasions. Parisian should make quick work of Porter here.
Prediction: Parisian to win by KO/TKO in Round 1
Gina Mazany v Rachael Ostovich
Rachael Ostovich’s popularity has not translated into an impressive UFC record and she has to be on the brink of getting her pink slip. Ostovich has gone 4-5 in her career and has now lost each of her last two UFC fights to go 1-2 inside the Octagon. Things may not get much better here. Gina Mazany was stopped in the first round last time out and has now gone 2-4 in the UFC, but she should have enough about here to halt her slide at Ostovich’s expense.

Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars (Sunday 18:00 GMT)
Cleveland have put together back-to-back wins since the bye week to stay right in the hunt for a wildcard spot, and their success has been down to two factors. Nick Chubb has been running over opponents and on the defensive side of the football Myles Garrett has been in dominant form. This is the perfect recipe for the Browns to make it three-in-a-row against a Jaguars team who have now lost every single game since upsetting Indianapolis on opening weekend and continue to struggle mightily on offense.
Prediction: Browns -6.5 to win
Miami Dolphins at New York Jets (Sunday 18:00 GMT)
Tua Tagovailoa suffered something of a reality check a week ago as he was sacked six times in a surprise defeat to Denver, a loss that ended Miami’s five-game win streak. The Dolphins have the perfect opportunity to bounce back here though. The New York Jets are now 0-10 for the season and looking every bit like a team that could go 0-16. They will almost certainly be 0-11 after Week 12!
Prediction: Dolphins -6.5 to win
Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts (Sunday 18:00 GMT)
The winner of this will take pole position in the AFC South and both teams go into the game on the back of big overtime wins a week ago. Indianapolis came out on top when these two teams met a couple of weeks back, but Tennessee can get their revenge here. Derrick Henry will run over the Colts defense, Ryan Tannehill will make a couple of big plays with his arm and Phillip Rivers will throw a back-breaking pick that helps the Titans leave town with the ‘W’.
Prediction: Titans to win
Kansas City Chiefs at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Sunday 21:25 GMT)
Tampa Bay wilted under the bright lights again last week and at this point it would be fair to say that expectations surrounding this team in preseason were a little ambitious. The same cannot be said for Kansas City, who avenged their sole defeat of the season last time out and looking more and more like a team capable of back-to-back Super Bowl successes. They should improve to 10-1 with a win over Tampa Bay, but given how many points the defense has given up in recent weeks it looks like they will have to win a shootout. But if there was ever an offense that can do that, it is this Chiefs group.
Prediction: Chiefs to win & over 56 total points
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers (Monday 01:20 GMT)
Green Bay should be out of sight in the NFC North, but last weekend’s slip-up in Indianapolis means they are just two games clear of Chicago at this time. The Bears are on a four-game skid though, due to an inept offense that is once again wasting the efforts of a terrific defense, and that means the timing of this game cannot be any better. Khalil Mack & Co. will do their best to slow down Aaron Rodgers and this Packers offense, but the offense will not reward them for that and that will allow Green Bay to come away with the win and take a big step towards another division crown.
Prediction: Packers -6.5 to win & under 50.5 total points

Wales v England – Saturday 16:00
England go in search of their seventh successive win in 2020 when they take on an out-of-sorts Wales side in Llanelli. Victory for Eddie Jones’ men will see them go up against the winner of Group B to be crowned the Autumn Nations Cup champions. Their only defeat in 2020 was on the opening weekend of the Six Nations tournament when they went down 24-17 in Paris against France. In contrast, Wales have won just two games this year and they have been against Italy and Georgia. Despite beating Georgia 18-0 last weekend, coach Wayne Pivac remains under pressure and I can’t see things breaking for him this weekend as I am backing England to win this one comfortably.
Prediction: England -14 to beat Wales
France v Italy – Saturday 20:00
France know victory over Italy at the Stade de France on Saturday will see them more than likely face England in the Autumn Nations Cup Final on December 6. Les Bleus currently lead Group B with nine points following their forfeited win over Fiji and their 22-15 away win over Scotland. Italy have won win under their belt and that was only because their game with Fiji was cancelled and the points handed to Italy. These two are always involved in competitive and entertaining matches. France defeated Italy 35-22 in this season’s Six Nations and I expect them to once again come away with the spoils.
Prediction: France -17 to beat Italy
Ireland v Georgia – Sunday 14:00
Ireland will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing showing against England as Andy Farrell’s men went down 18-7 at Twickenham. Ireland still have a very slim chance of finishing top of Group A, they would need to post a lot of points against Georgia and hope Wales beat England. Georgia, on the other hand, will just be happy to score any points at all. They have failed to score against England and Wales in the Autumn Nations Cup as they went down 40-0 and 18-0 respectively. I expect Ireland to win this one convincingly, but not enough to see them qualify for the final as I cannot see Wales beating England.
Prediction: Ireland -35 to beat Georgia
Argentina v New Zealand – Saturday 08:45
Argentina have the opportunity to move a step closer to winning the Rugby Championship for the first time in their history when they take on New Zealand in Parramatta. The Pumas have played two matches already and are yet to taste defeat. They shocked the All Blacks in their opening game when they won 25-15, and they put in another strong performance in their 15-15 draw against Australia. Victory over New Zealand on Saturday will see them go top of the table with one game to play. Normally I would have no hesitation in backing the All Blacks to bounce back with a win, but 2020 has been so strange I am backing the Pumas to record another famous win.
Newcastle Falcons made a successful return to the Gallagher Premiership last weekend as they defeated Bath 19-12 at the Recreation Ground with Gary Graham helping himself to two first half tries. The Sharks also got off to a winning start as they crossed for four tries in a 32-23 win at the AJ Bell Stadium. I’m backing the Falcons to kick on from last week and register successive league wins.
Prediction: Newcastle Falcons to beat Sale Sharks
Northampton Saints v Harlequins – Saturday 14:00
Both the Saints and Quins come into this week two game on the back of defeats and they will both be eager to get that first victory of the campaign. Harlequins kicked off their new campaign on Friday and they went down 33-3 on home soil to defending champions Exeter Chiefs, while Northampton were turned over 32-23 away at Sale Sharks. Your season doesn’t hinder on the first few games, but both the Saints and Quins know they cannot really afford to be dropping a lot of points. I am backing the home side in this one, as the Quins really struggled last weekend.
Prediction: Northampton Saints to beat Harlequins
Bristol Bears v Worcester Warriors – Saturday 15:00
Bristol Bears narrowly went down by three points in their opening game of the Gallagher Premiership as Wasps claimed a 23-20 win at the Ricoh Arena. Both teams scored two tries apiece with Harry Randall and Siale Piutau crossing, but it was the three penalties to two that separated the two teams at the final whistle. The Warriors come into this clash on the back of a narrow 11-10 win over London Irish with Tom Howe scoring a try in the 64th minute to secure the win. Despite coming into this on the back of a win, I cannot see the Warriors getting the better of the Bears, who will be determined to register that all important first win of the season.
Prediction: Bristol Bears to beat Worcester Warriors
Gloucester v Wasps – Saturday 15:00
Wasps got their Gallagher Premiership campaign off to a winning start as they look to go one better than last season when they were beaten in the Grand Final. Tries from Jack Willis and Tom Willis, along with two conversions and three penalties from Jimmy Gopperth helped them beat Bristol Bears 23-20. Gloucester, on the other hand, were turned over quite convincingly away at Leicester Tigers as they shipped in four tries. The Cherry and Whites looked all at sea at times against the Tigers, and I expect them to lose back-to-back games with Wasps winning this one comfortably.
Prediction: Wasps to beat Gloucester
Exeter Chiefs v Bath – Saturday 17:30
Defending Gallagher Premiership champions Exeter Chiefs got their title defence off to a great start last Friday as they crossed for five tries with Sam Simmonds grabbing a hat-trick in a comfortable 33-3 away win at Harlequins. Bath found themselves on the end of an opening day upset as they were beaten on home soil 19-12 by newly promoted Newcastle Falcons. I expect Bath to be there and thereabouts come the end of the season, but I am backing the Chiefs to make it two wins in succession.
Prediction: Exeter Chiefs to beat Bath
London Irish v Leicester Tigers – Sunday 16:15
Before the season started, I tipped London Irish to be relegated, and although they put up a spirited performance in their 11-10 loss against Worcester Warriors, I am sticking by it. They take on a Leicester Tigers side this Sunday who crossed over for four tries in their 38-15 over Gloucester. I expect the Tigers to have too much for the Exiles over the 80 minutes and win this one quite convincingly.
