The World Series of Mahjong is a 3-day, single-elimination format competition held in Macao.
The registration fee for the event is US$5,000. Payment of the fee will guarantee a player’s seat at the tournament, and a chance to win one of the cash prizes. Cityline, the tournament’s exclusive agent for registration and payments, will handle all aspects of the player’s registration and fee payments.

Prize Money and Payments
Prizes will be awarded to the top 32 players according to the following breakdown.

*Each of the final four players in the competition (the top four places) will, in addition to their cash prize winnings, receive a free invitation to the 2008 World Series of Mahjong.

** As mandated by government of Macau, a 5% Stamp Tax will be deducted from all prize money payments made to all players, regardless of nationality. The deduction will be made at the time of payment so that players receive the amounts stated above, less the 5% tax
