Top filly The Fugue is the headline European contender to be revealed among the Breeders' Cup entries.
Winner of the Yorkshire Oaks and Irish Champion Stakes already this year, The Fugue's first preference is the Turf, though she is also entered in the Filly & Mare equivalent, in which she was an unlucky third last year.
Aidan O'Brien's Irish 2000 Guineas winner Magician is the most eye-catching entrant in the Turf. Coolmore's trainer is the most strongly-represented European at the meeting, with his four other entries being Declaration of War (Classic), Cristiforo Colombo (Mile, Turf Sprint), Giovanni Boldini and Wilshire Boulevard (both Juvenile Turf).
Declaration of War is the sole European in the Classic, which pitches last year's disappointing favourite Game On Dude against runner-up Mucho Macho Man. Fort Larned, something of a surprise winner in 2012, is also entered alongside established dirt performers Ron The Greek and Flat Out.

The star attraction in the Mile is defending champion Wise Dan, Timeform's highest-rated thoroughbred in training. He will probably face the strongest European challenge outside of the Turf, with top British milers Olympic Glory and Toronado both entered.
Those looking for potential European winners will be encouraged by the Filly & Mare Turf, which is a second preference for The Fugue and otherwise headed by Sir Michael Stoute's Dank, who won the Beverley D Stakes at Arlington in August. Both Juvenile Turf races on Friday also look to have strong claims from the raiding party, with the aforementioned O'Brien pair going for the colts and Rockfel winner Al Thakhira set to go for Marco Botti in the filles' version.
