Super Bowl 2012 odds - New England Patriots v New York Giants betting

The New England Patriots will face the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis on Sunday February 5th 2012.

The New England Patriots will face the New York Giants in the 2012 Super Bowl after the Pats beat the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game and the Giants won the NFC Championship game against San Francisco 49ers in Candlesticks Park.

New England claimed their fifth AFC title in eleven seasons in dramatic fashion on Sunday, with the Baltimore Ravens' kicker Billy Cundiff missing a 32-yard field goal in the dying seconds that would have taken the game into overtime. It meant that the top seeds in the division progressed to Super Bowl XLVI.

Tom Brady will lead his franchise out in Indianapolis as the odds-on favourites to win the Super Bowl and Ladbrokes offer best odds of 20/29 that the Patriots claim their fourth crown in the last eleven years and their first Super Bowl since 2004.

Trying to stop Brady will be another veteran quarter-back, Eli Manning, who helped the New York Giants to overcome the San Francisco 49ers in a thrilling NFC Conference final. The Giants finished tied with their hosts on 17 points apiece at the end of regulation time in Candlesticks Park but a successful field goal in overtime gave them the narrowest of victories and saw Tom Coughlin's team reach the Super Bowl for the first time since 2007.

The Giants have claimed three Super Bowl titles and it is 11/8 at William Hill that they make it four in Indianapolis. The spread line has been set at three points, with Paddy Power offering a stand out 21/20 that New York when, when given the advantage with Coral going 10/11 that New England cover the spread.

The points line has been set at 55.0 for Super Bowl XLVI by all firms except Ladbrokes and Sky Bet. The Magic Sign have gone a little lower and make it 20/21 that there are over 54 points and the same price on under that total, while Sky Bet are half a point higher than other firms and offer 10/11 on over and under 55.5 points.
