Visitors Saint-Etienne are currently in ninth place on the league ladder with 11 points from eight matches and are eight points behind leaders Marseille.

Saint-Etienne have picked up three wins and two draws so far and will be feeling quietly confident that defeat number four will not be happening today.

They come into this game with an impressive 4-0 win over strugglers Nancy with Brandao scoring twice and Romain Hamouma and Pierre Aubameyang also find the net inside the opening 25 minutes.

Nice are not having the best starts to their campaign and are struggling down in 16th place in the 20 team division with eight points.

They have only won once this season with five of them ending in a draw and two in defeat.

They were outdone by two late goals in their last Ligue 1 encounter as they went down 3-1 at Reims with the game level at 1-1 with three minutes remaining.

The last time these two met was in March last season and Nice collected all three points on their travels as they won 3-2.
