Bob Bradley now favourite to be manager of Villa

Will Bradley be saying goodbye to the US team? (credit: g55)
The USA coach would have an obvious connection with club owner Randy Lerner

Martin O’Neill is no longer manager of Aston Villa, with the northern Irishman apparently walking away after being told that the money from the James Milner sale to Manchester City would not be available for new players.

Now the race is on for his successor and bet365 are making Bob Bradley the 7/2 favourite on Tuesday morning. The American is currently in charge of his national team although he has made clear that he wishes to coach in Europe at some stage.

He shares the same nationality with Villa owner Randy Lerner and this could be a ripe opportunity for Bradley to demonstrate his coaching skills in one of the world’s best leagues.

Sven-Goran Eriksson is available at 13/2 with bet365 to be next Aston Villa manager, while Alan Curbishley and Martin Jol are 7/1 with the same firm.
