Los Angeles Galaxy continue their CONCACAF Champions League campaign with a Group A clash against Alajuelense on Thursday night.
The Galaxy, who have just added Republic of Ireland star Robbie Keane to their squad, made a perfect start to the tournament with a 2-0 victory over CD Motague earlier this month. Adam Cristman and Landon Donovan were both on target in a routine victory over the Honduran outfit, who had Ivan Guerrero sent off for a reckless challenge on Sean Franklin.
Costa Rican outfit Alajuelense also made a winning start, beating Morelia 1-0 thanks to a blunder by goalkeeper Federico Villar. Villar fumbled a free-kick just 13 minutes from time and Jonathan McDonald was on hand to snatch the winner for Alajuelsense, but they face much stiffer opposition this time around with the Galaxy boasting the likes of Keane, Donovan and, of course, David Beckham in their squad.
It is no surprise to see Los Angeles Galaxy being made 1.36 favourites, with Alajuelsense 8.00 and the draw 4.20.
