The Social Network strong favourite to win Best Picture
Colin Firth is the massive 1/3 favourite to win Best Actor at the 2011 Oscars

The Social Network looks set to pick up two Oscars in 2011 according to bookies Ladbrokes. The film is 8/11 to win the ‘Best picture’ and David Fincher is 2/5 to be crowned the ‘Best Director’.

Colin Firth is another odds-on shot for Oscars glory as he is just 1/3 to win ‘Best Actor’ for his outstanding role in ‘The King’s Speech’. The ‘Best Actress’ category is also headed by an odds-on jolly as Natalie Portman is rated a 4/7 chance for her role in ‘A Black Swan’.

Bob Hoskins is a 50/1 shot for ‘Best Supporting Actor’ in British film ‘Made in Dagenham’ which is a 66/1 chance to win the ‘Best Film’

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes told Bettingpro: “It appears we may be paying out on Firth past the post as usual. There is a really strong contender in each category but we wouldn’t discount a shock result as the shortlist looks exceptionally strong. ”
