Ashes live streaming: Australia will come hard at England

Will Australia give England a fight this Ashes?
Australian opening batsman Chris Rogers believes Australia will compete hard with England in the Ashes and the current criticism against the team may not be justified.

Rogers, who was selected in the Australian squad after having last played a Test way back in 2008, says the team is being unnecessarily castigated. He added, "I think we're being a little bit undervalued in many respects."

The opening batsman who could make it to the playing 11 after Dave Warner's recent escapades led him to a suspension from playing in any of the warm-up games, said, "We've got a very good side - I've played against all these guys in the Australian side and I know the amount of talent in the squad."

Rogers added, "I've no doubt we can prove a lot of people wrong - if all of us play well together and find form we can shock a few people, no doubt. An Australian with his back to the wall is something to fear."

The Australian opener has been playing a lot of county cricket at Middlesex and scored 790 runs in eight matches recently. He says he's put himself into pressure situations in the lead-up to the first Test match of the series and will hope to replicate that form in the Ashes too.

The Ashes 2013 begins from July 10 with the first Test to be played at Trent Bridge. Australia are 7/2 (Boylesports) to win the first Test match to England's 10/11 (William Hill)
