Vicente Del Bosque has to decide whether to play five in midfield or stick with the Liverpool striker who has looked average throughout the 2010 World Cup

There's no escaping the fact that Spain looked far more likely to score when Fernando Torres left the pitch against Paraguay and Portugal. Indeed, David Villa grabbed winning goals long after the Liverpool forward had trudged off and that leaves the manager with a difficult decision ahead of Wednesday night's match in Cape Town.

Does Vicente Del Bosque start with Torres yet again or does he instead go for Cesc Fabregas, who appears to have recovered from a shoulder injury sustained during a fall in the Paraguay match?

There is a school of thought that suggests that while Torres hasn't scored in this World Cup, he does pull defenders out of position and tire them out to the extent where his replacement has an easier time of things.

It's also clear that David Villa is more effective cutting in from the left flank, although Fabregas will certainly advance his claim that he can play in a more advanced role, as can Andres Iniesta, whose run led to the winner against Paraguay.

Fernando Torres is 6/1 (Paddy Power) to score first against Germany?
