Spain  will face Holland at Soccer City in Johannesburg on Sunday after Carles Puyol's superb 73rd minute header decided a tense encounter.

Holland, beaten finalists in 1974 and 78, are 11/8 to become the eighth different country to lift the World Cup. Spain, who are also looking to win their first World Cup, can be backed at 6/5 at Skybet to win the match in 90 minutes, with Holland 12/5 and the draw 9/4.

David Villa, who has scored five goals in the tournament, remains the 4/6 favourite to win the Golden Boot. He is ahead of Holland playmaker Wesley Sneijder (5/2), who has also netted five times, in the betting.

Sky Bet's football odds compiler Mike T. told Bettingpro: "It was another profitable night for the bookmakers and sets up a dream final with two attacking teams promising plenty of goals.

"Spain looked very comfortable against Germany and it's no surprise to see them trading as short-priced favourites but it's going to be too close to call."

Germany will now face Uruguay in the third/fourth place play-off at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Saturday. Joachim Low's side are 8/11 with Uruguay 7/2 and the draw 13/5.
