The Dutch are a class above the sides Uruguay have faced in South Africa so far

Tonight's game kicks off in a few minutes and is being streamed live on bet365 (audio) and on ITV

Uruguay have managed to reach the semi-finals of the 2010 World Cup without really beating anyone of note.

They won Group A largely due to France’s implosion and then beat a decent but not brilliant South Korea side in the second round. They then controversially beat Ghana, thanks largely to Luis Suarez’s extra-time handball and Asamoah Gyan’s missed penalty.

None of those teams are anywhere near the standard of the Dutch side that Uruguay will face on Tuesday night and they could be in danger of being completely outclassed by Bert Van Marwijk’s men.

Robin Van Persie is fit for Holland, although he has not been very impressive in South Africa so far and has only scored once in five games as a lone striker.

That’s not really good enough for a player of his calibre, but Wesley Sneijder, who can be backed at 7/1 with Bet365 to open the scoring, has picked up a lot of the slack, scoring four times already at the World Cup, including both goals in the 2-1 quarter-final win over Brazil.

Sneijder is 13/5 with PaddyPower in the anytime goalscorer market and covering both the Inter Milan playmaker and Dutch winger Arjen Robben (15/8, Bet365) to score in 90-minutes looks a sure-fire way to make a profit on the game. There is even the possibility that both will find the net, as they did against Slovakia.

At 4/6 (Boylesports) there is no value in backing Holland to win the match in 90-minutes and even less in the 1/3 (StanJames) that the Dutch qualify for the World Cup final.

Paddy Power make it even money that the opening goal comes after the 27th minute and ExtraBet go 100/30 that the sides are level at half-time before Holland go on to win the game. Both of those bets are probably worth taking as Uruguay, who are 6/1 (Bet365) to win on Tuesday will try to keep things tight for as long as possible, although the class of the Dutch attack should win out in the end.

Recommendations

Anytime Goalscorer – Arjen Robben (15/8, Bet365)
Anytime Goalscorer – Wesley Sneijder (13/5, PaddyPower)
Half-Time/Full-Time – Draw/Holland (100/30, ExtraBet)
