Pedro starts instead of Fernando Torres and Cesc Fabregas for Spain

Spain manager Vicente Del Bosque has opted to drop Liverpool striker Fernando Torres for tonight’s World Cup 2010 semi final clash with Germany.

However, rather than starting with Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas just behind David Villa, Del Bosque has decided to play Barcelona forward Pedro alongside Villa.

Germany coach Joachim Low makes just one change to the side which comfortably beat Argentina in the quarter finals, with Piotr Trochowski coming in to replace the suspended Thomas Muller.
