Spaniard 5/6 to find the net in South Africa

Fernando Torres drew yet another blank last night at the 2010 World Cup and Bet365 are now taking bets on whether or not the Spanish striker will score at all in the tournament.

It is 5/6 that Torres does manager a goal in South Africa, with his side’s quarter final match with Paraguay the most likely match for the Liverpool striker to net in.

It is 11/8 with Bet365 that Torres scores against the South Americans on Saturday evening.

Looking beyond the World Cup, Bet365 make it 8/11 that Torres outscores Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney in the 2010/2011 Premier League.

Rooney failed to score in South Africa, but can be backed at even money with Bet365 to score more league goals than Torres next season.

Bet365 spokesman Steve Freeth told Bettingpro:

“Torres, just like Rooney, has struggled in front of goal in South Africa, but at least Spain aren’t as reliant on him as England were with the Man Utd match-winner.”
