Finland is hoping to add to Brazil's woes after they meet in Pool B of the FIVB World League Intercontinental Round in Toronto tonight.

The Finns stunned Poland 3-2 yesterday to secure their first points of the tournament. Olli-Pekka Ojansivu played one of the best games of his career as he fired 29 points to lead his team to a pulsating 23-25 25-23 25-21 22-25 15-9 victory.

Antti Siltala added 16 points while Matti Hietanen had 13. It was moral-boosting win for the Finns, who were swept by Canada in their opening match.

"The players trusted themselves and I’m very proud of them. I set a challenge to our opposite Ojansivu and he responded with a great match. Even defensively, which is not his strength, he was very good," Finland coach Pekka Lahtinen said.

Brazil, meanwhile, has yet to pick up a win two outings. The top-ranked team lost to Canada 2-3 last night.  Gavin Schmitt was too much for the Brazilians as the Canadian powered his way to 33 points to lead his team to a 25-23 20-25 25-20 24-26 15-10 win at the Ricoh Coliseum.

Wallace de Souza led Brazil with 17 points while Amaral Dante added 2.

"t was a great performance for Canada and well deserved for all the hard work they’ve put in. We have a lot of success and teams always want to beat us," Brazil head coach Bernardo Rezende said after the match.

"We have to forget and get ready for tomorrow. Being in the World League final is very important for us in our Olympic preparation."
