Virtual Euro 2012 Rules
A random number generator is used to select game results using the system's rating for each individual team.
Bets are accepted up to 5 seconds before each game is played.
The betting starts at the First Group phase, which is 7 groups of 7/8 teams playing each other twice, home and away. The top two teams in each group progress to the next stage. If 2 teams achieve the same points in 2nd place at the end of the group stage, then the team with the best goal difference go through. If two teams are equal on points and goal difference, for the purpose of this game the team with the lowest rating progresses to the next stage.
Once the first Group stage is completed, the draw is made for the final Group stage, which is to be held in Switzerland and Austria. The draw for this part of the game is done in line with the actual competition, the 2 host nations Switzerland and Austria are given a top rating along with Greece, if they qualify. All the other nations are seeded accordingly into 1,2,3 or 4 and placed into the appropriate draw bowl. The nations are then drawn; however, no two nations that were in the previous group stage together are allowed to be placed in the same group. After this Group Phase the Winners and Runners Up of each of the four groups progress to the Knockout phase. After each round in the Knockout phase the number of teams is halved until eventually 2 teams meet in the Euro 2012 Final.
