The dream of seeing a British men's finalist at Wimbledon for the first time in over 70 years has come to an end for another year. Roddick, the Wimbledon finalist in 2004 and 2005 shattered the dreams of the British nation with a resounding serving performance and quite possibly the best performance on his forehand side I have ever witnessed.

At just 22 years of age, Murray will no doubt have many more opportunities to break his Grand Slam duck in the future, but for Roddick this could be his last remaining chance to add to his US Open title he won back in 2003.

Federer and Roddick know each other's games inside out, they have played 20 times since 2001 and Federer leads the head-to-head series 18-2 with three victories from three matches on grass against the American dropping just one set. The last time Roddick defeated the Swiss master was at last year's Miami Masters Series event 7-6 4-6 6-3. A major upset is therefore not incomprehensible but it's highly unlikely.

Roddick is the joint leader with Ivo Karlovic in the men's singles ace leader market on 160, needing just one ace to become the winner. He has hit 83 more aces than Federer.

The interesting stat to look at is the fact that, out of the last nine head-to-head matches, Federer has hit more aces than Roddick on six occasions, drawing two. This is therefore where I believe the value is, especially given Federer's short price to win the match.
