The two players have played each other only once before this match and it was on the grass court of Hertogenbosch. Marti had rallied well in the first set before going down to Gabashvili 6-7, 3-6. The Teymuraz Gabashvili v Javier Marti Kazan Kremlin Cup Challenger 2012 quarter-final will be played on February 3. It will begin at 12 noon local time.
