Nadal 3/1 to win more Grand Slams than Federer Visit Paddy Power Save For Later Posted by Pete Culshaw 2 Feb 2009 Tweet Related Articles See all Tennis news Share it Pin It Bookie Paddy Power is offering 3/1 for the undisputed king of tennis, Rafa Nadal, to win more Grand Slams than his arch rival Roger Federer. Whilst tennis had experts for so long tipped Federer to be the one for ultimate greatness, Nadal’s dominance has seen them revising their call since the Spaniard saw off the Swiss to win the Australian Open at the weekend. With six majors to his name the 22 year old Nadal has now won on all three surfaces – and has plenty of time on his side to dominate for years to come. Federer had raced to 13 titles and looked unstoppable until Nadal’s arrival but has since only won one of the last five majors contested. Darren Haines, spokesman for Paddy Power, said: “It’s difficult to see Nadal losing at Roland Garros for year’s to come, if ever, whilst Federer may only have one or two majors left in him. It should prove a close race.” Meanwhile, looking to the rest of 2009 Paddy Power are offering 28/1 that all four Grand Slam finals this year will be contested between the two aces. Nadal and Federer have already contested seven between them in their career so far. Nadal is 2/5 to win the French Open, now 6/4 favourite for Wimbledon and 9/4 joint favourite with Federer for the US Open.
