The focus on Saturday turns very much to the toughest looking group at Euro 2012, with the Group B campaign kicking off as Holland take on Denmark at the Medalist Stadium at 1700 BST.

With Germany and Portugal playing at 1945 in the same pool, Group B certainly deserves to have the label of  ‘Group of Death’ as all four sides are currently ranked in the world’s top 10.

Given the quality of opposition in the group, none of the sides can really afford to take their foot off the gas but in the opening match the pressure will be on Holland to deliver, with Denmark widely regarded as the weakest link in the group.

The third round of CONCACAF World Cup 2014 qualifying gets underway in the wee hours with five live streaming matches. The USA's game with Antigua and Barbuda in Group A at 0000 and Mexico's clash with Guyana in Group B at 0100 look to be the pick of the action.

Under former World Cup winner and German coach Jurgen Klinsmann, the United States are bidding to qualify for the tournament for the seventh time, while Mexico demonstrated their class with a recent 2-0 international friendly win over South American kingpins Brazil.

In rugby league meanwhile, Newcastle Knights and Canberra Raiders are both struggling at the wrong end of the NRL ladder but a win on Saturday (1035) for either could boost their play-off hopes.

The Knights currently find themselves in 13th place with just four wins from their opening 12 matches, while the Raiders started the season with great promise but fell by the wayside and are down in 14th spot with 10 points after winning just four fixtures.

There is a host of volleyball action to look forward to on Saturday also, including some top class fare from Pool B of the FIVB World League where Brazil play Canada at 1350 and Poland take on Finland at 1630.
