Andy Murray will be looking to go one further than just reaching the US Open Final after narrowly missing out at Wimbledon.
William Hill make him 11/10 to be the runner up at Flushing Meadows although he is 9/4 to win the event. After laying Murray at a top price 5/1 at the start of the tournament, William Hill could be faced with their biggest ever US Open payout should he go on to lift the winner’s trophy.
The final is 4/7 to be Djokovic against Murray with the Scotsman 15/4 to defeat the Serbian should that be the case.
Murray is 10/11 to not win a Grand Slam by the end of next year with a price of 7/4 offered that he won’t win one by the end of 2015. Murray is 2/1 to break his Grand Slam duck next year, 10/1 in 2014 and 33/1 for 2015.
William Hill spokesman Mark Young told Bettingpro: “Murray might just have come of age after winning Gold at the Olympics and certainly our customers have become believers.”
