British Spread betting firm Sporting Index has launched a £200 free bet on the Grand National offer

The advantage of spread betting is that you can bet on horses to run well or badly or back them against one other runner.

For example: Sporting Index might predict that Butlers Cabin will defeat My Will by 1 length in the Aintree Grand National 2009. If you think Butlers Cabin will slam My Will by more than 1 length and bet £5 per length then a 5 length win nets you £20. A ½ length win loses you £2.50
