Jamie Cope came from behind to beat Peter Ebdon this morning, and he will face another former World Champion this afternoon, in the shape of Mark Williams. The Welshman won his first match 3-0 this morning, and is, at the time of writing, leading in his match against Dave Harold.
Williams will fancy his chances of making it three our of three against Cope, although having already played two matches in quick succession, he runs the risk of fatigue, and thus Cope could spring a surprise.
In the afternoon’s other live match, Peter Ebdon will be hoping to end a run of two straight defeats against Barry Hawkins.
Hawkins lost his morning match to Mark Williams, and looks set to make it two defeats in a row himself, as he is currently getting beat by Neil Robertson. Ebdon can make it a day to forget for the Englishman by beating him this afternoon, and he should be able to without much fuss.
