Judd Trump has joined John Higgins and Mark Selby in co-favouritism for the 2012 World Championships after some impressive performances at the UK Open.

Judd Trump has been trimmed to 7/1 co-favourite for the snooker World Championships next year (from 9/1) by Ladbrokes after impressing in the UK Open.

Trump's consistent good performances have seen him join John Higgins and Mark Selby at the top of the betting pile for the biggest prize in snooker.

Ronnie O'Sullivan has been given the thumbs-down by Ladbrokes who have eased him to 8/1 to win at the Crucible.

David Williams of Ladbrokes told Bettingpro:

"Ronnie is going in the wrong direction and Trump could be the big beneficiary. Snooker needs a new star and Trump fits the bill."

2010 world champ Neil Robertson has also been popular to recapture his crown next year - and is 8/1 (from 10/1).
