The event has been a regular fixture on the Snooker calendar since 2007 and highlights the growing popularity of the sport in Asia.
An array of top stars will battle it out for the £65,000 first prize and all important ranking points that will significantly affect the world rankings.
Mark Selby booked his place in the final with a 6-0 demolition of Mark King on Saturday morning. Selby recently added the China Wuxi Classic and PTC 4 title to his name and will be hoping to continue his incredible form in the final tomorrow.
His opponent in the final is to be Mark Williams, after the world number one clinched a final frame decider to win a thriller against Neil Robertson.
Williams recorded his third century break of the event in the process and will be looking to win the second ranking event of the season, having himself lost in a final frame decider to Stuart Bingham in the final of the Australian Open.
The highest break of the tournament so far belongs to Shaun Murphy, who made a superb 143 against Mark Allen in round two. Should that break remain unbeaten, he would collect the £2,000 high break prize.
The tournament will be played from Monday September 5-11 at the Grand Stage in Shanghai.
