Ronnie O'Sullivan takes on Jimmy White in a mouth watering final league game of the 2011 Premier League in Grimsby this evening.

The duo are regarded as two of the greatest players ever to grace the baize and go head-to-head tonight for only the second time in six years on television.

They bring the curtain down on a terrific season of Premier League action, before the finals in Norfolk later this month.

Eight times winner of the event O'Sullivan needs just one point (one frame) to seal his place in the play-offs, and could finish the league in first position depending on his and Judd Trump's results this evening.

Should Trump beat Shaun Murphy in the opening game of the night and O'Sullivan win his semi, the pair would meet again in the week 10 final.

White cannot make the play-offs and will be playing for pride tonight, hoping to avoid finishing bottom of the league table.

O'Sullivan and White are good friends off the baize and have played out many classic encounters over the past two decades, including two Masters semi-finals.

The Rocket has a good record against people's champion White and is unsurprisingly big favourite to add to that record tonight.
