The full line-up and draw for the 2011 Power Snooker event has been confirmed.

The event, to be held at Event City in  Manchester from November 19-20, will be the second staging of the tournament, with Ronnie O'Sullivan the defending champion.

World finalist Judd Trump, multiple ranking winner Mark Selby and world number two Mark Williams are among a world class field of 16 set to compete.

Stand-out fixtures include world champion John Higgins against young Northern Ireland star Mark Allen and Shaun Murphy against Australian Open winner Stuart Bingham.

O'Sullivan, who has proved his dominance of tournaments with short adapted formats in the past, faces Ali Carter in a repeat of last year's semi-final.

The revised format — in which players have just 20 seconds to play shots in matches lasting 30 minutes comes as part of Barry Hearn's revolution of the sport.

"All the players are behind it," said Hearn. "It is the most exciting development snooker has faced in years. We know it will be an outstanding success because of the pilot competition we ran last year, which attracted a staggering half-a-million audience for ITV4 when it was up against X Factor."

"At The Crucible, you can hear a pin drop during tournaments. At Power Snooker, you will find it hard to hear yourself think - there is no hiding place," he added.

A new specially designed cueing aid - 'the bridge' is set to be introduced this year, along with more new rules which are yet to be confirmed.
