The main event of the fourth Players Tour Championship gets underway on Friday morning as 128 players are set to compete in Germany for the £10,000 Paul Hunter Classic first prize.

The draw for the first round proper has been made, with a number of players awaiting their first opponent from the qualifying rounds taking place on Thursday.

Judd Trump won the title last year and will be looking to add to his growing collection of recent PTC titles this weekend.

The four players featuring in this week's Premier League face a hectic schedule, with Jimmy White and Ronnie O'Sullivan both in action early on Friday having played live in front of the TV cameras in Surrey the night before.

Noteable first round ties include Matthew Stevens against Paul Davison and Australian Goldfields winner Stuart Bingham versus Simon Bedford.

PTC 3 winner Ben Woollaston takes on Liam Highfield on Saturday, with the youngster looking to kick on from his stunning victory in Sheffield.

Should Ronnie O'Sullivan come through his first match, he would face the winner of Anthony McGill and Qualifier 116 later in the day.

Another potential round two showdown could see Crucible King Stephen Hendry take on world champion John Higgins.

Action begins from 9.30am on Friday, with action from tables 1 and 2 streamed live online.
