Graeme Dott recorded a fine victory over Ronnie O'Sullivan on day two of the third PTC at the Sheffield Snooker Academy.

Dott brought his top potting game to the table, leaving the rocket in his seat for the majority of the game; the Scot running out a 4-1 winner.

He also denied the opportunity of an O'Sullivan versus Hendry showdown in the next round, thrashing his fellow countryman 4-0.

PTC 2 winner Judd Trump also failed to make it to day three, losing 4-0 in a surprise defeat to Xiao Guodong.

The final game of round three saw a repeat of Thursday's Premier League Opener, with world champion John Higgins taking on the Whirlwind - Jimmy White.

The outcome was similar, as Higgins prevailed with a 4-1 victory; White had beaten tough opposition along the way, including a 4-1 win over Mike Dunn.

Tony Drago's run was brought to an end by Barry Hawkins, as Mark Selby booked his place on finals day with a 4-2 win over Gary Wilson.

The final day's action begins at 10am on Sunday, featuring Graeme Dott v John Higgins.
