The feature game in the afternoon sees world number one Mark Selby take on Stephen Lee in a repeat of the 2008 final.

Leicester ace Selby has been the form horse on the tour this season, scooping the Wuxi Classic, Paul Hunter Classic and Shanghai Masters all on foreign soil.

He will be hoping to cap those with a win at this year's Masters and to abolish the memory of his shock first round defeat at Wembley last year.

He takes on Stephen Lee, who has regained his place in the top 16 for the first time in four years.

He will be out for revenge after losing to Selby 10-3 in the 2008 final, his last appearance in this event. He goes into the match as underdog and will need to play at the top of his game and more if he is to cause an upset today.

The second match of the day sees Ali Carter face Graeme Dott in a close looking encounter.

Both players have a relatively poor record in the event and will be hoping to make an impact on the tournament.

Carter's off-baize health problems have been well documented, with rumours he may retire from the sport soon. A good run in snooker's most prestigious invitational may change that however.

The bookmakers struggle to seperate the duo, making Dott the narrow 4/5 favourite; this match looks likely to go the distance.

The action begins at 12.30pm, with both matches being streamed live over the best of eleven frames from the Alexandra Palace, London.
