Jamie Cope finished the morning’s session of the Championship League snooker with one win and one defeat, after losing to Mark Williams, then beating Joe Swail.
His opponent Peter Ebdon was only in action once, and won comfortably against Barry Hawkins, closing the game out 3-0 thanks to an impressive break of 136.
Ebdon, therefore has the form on his side, and having performed well all week, he will be confident of beating young Cope this afternoon.
In the other live match, Joe Swail takes on Stuart Bingham, in a battle between the 21st and 22nd ranked players in the world.
Both players lost their morning match, but Bingham, when he was on the table, was able to rack up some decent breaks, and could be the man to watch this afternoon.
