Judd triumphs to reach williamhill.com UK Championship final, but who will he face?
William Hill now make Judd Trump their 1/2 favourite to win the williamhill.com UK Championship following his 9-7 win over former world champion Neil Robertson. The Bristol native will now face either Mark Allen (3/1) or Ricky Walden (6/1) in this Sunday’s final at the Barbican Centre in York.
Trump, who beat the likes of Ronnie O’Sullivan and Stephen Maguire en-route to the final, was available at 12/1 before a ball was struck in this year’s Championship.
Mark Allen will meet Ricky Walden in the second semi-final of the williamhill.com UK Championships on Saturday. Allen, who caused a media storm earlier in the tournament by criticizing World Snooker Chairman Barry Hearn, is the 4/6 favourite to make the final – while Chester native Walden is available at 6/5.
“Judd has hit form right on cue and punters believe he is destined to break his UK Championship duck this weekend,’ said William Hill spokesman Tony Kenny, “Allen or Walden would be formidable opponents, but punters believe it’ll be Trump who will triumph.”
