World champion John Higgins takes on Michael Holt at 4pm for a place in the PTC 10 final this evening.

Higgins has survived a number of tough tests in this event over the past few days, emphasising his class by seeing off the likes of Stephen Hendry, Neil Robertson and Joe Perry in the last eight.

Three time ranking quarter-finalist Holt is enjoying a fine run on the Players Tour this season and has defeated Jamie Cope, Ben Woollaston and world number one Mark Selby en route to this stage.

Holt is renowned for his aggressive playing style, while Higgins is a dangerous break-builder and has countless major titles to his name.

The match promises to be a close one over a relatively short format, with both in good form going into the game.

The bookmakers make Higgins favourite at 2/7, with Holt a good bet at 5/2 with Bet365.

The winner will face either Stephen Lee or Dominic Dale in the final later today, with £10,000 and 2,000 ranking points at stake.
